No. We are an end-to-end manufacturing partner equipped to handle everything from a single prototype to high-volume production of up to 1,000,000 parts.

While we are a leader in serial production, our infrastructure is designed to support the entire lifecycle of a product. At Prototal, we don’t believe in volume limitations; we believe in choosing the right technology for your specific stage of growth:

  • Development & Validation: For the first steps of a project, we utilize our extensive fleet of industrial 3D printers and vacuum casting to deliver high-fidelity parts without any tooling investment.
  • Production & Scaling: As demand grows, we leverage high-speed additive technologies like MJF, SLS, FDR, SAF or Aluminum-tooled Injection Molding, to deliver production-grade components with short lead times and minimal startup costs up to 100,000 parts.
  • High-Volume Manufacturing: For full-scale market requirements, we offer comprehensive Injection Molding services using steel tooling. Our expertise in high-cavitation steel molds allows us to scale into the millions of units, ensuring maximum durability, extreme repeatability, and the lowest possible part cost for long-term mass production.

By managing the transition from one part to a million under a single roof, we ensure that the engineering integrity of your design remains consistent regardless of the production volume.

As a flexible partner we can offer lead times down to 1 working day depending on manufacturing technology, material selection, post-processing and quality control.*

  • Industrial 3D Printing in Polymer: Typical 2-3 working days*
  • Industrial 3D Printing in Metal: Typical 5-7 working days*
  • Injection Molding with aluminium tooling: Down to 15 working days*
  • Injection Molding with steel tooling: down to 30 working days*
  • Vacuum Casting: Typical 6-8 working days*

*While Prototal Group offers industry-leading turnaround times, all lead times are provided as estimates. Lead times are based on standard operating conditions and the selection of the most efficient regional technology hub for your project. Final lead times are determined by the specific requirements of your order, including part geometry, material selection, and post-processing. For complex geometries that require extensive support structures or high-performance materials, we may allocate additional processing time. This ensures the structural integrity and dimensional accuracy of your components before they leave our facility. By leveraging our decentralized hub network and cross-border logistics, we work to minimize delays; however, the technical requirements of the manufacturing process remain the primary factor in our quality-assured lead times.
